The conference provides a forum to discuss important issues including evidence-generation of agroecology impacts, scaling up agroecological transitions, digitalization in agri-food systems, investment in research and innovation, trade opportunities, engagement of small-scale food producers including indigenous peoples, women, youth and the private sector in agri-food systems transformation.

The conference will involve sit in-sessions and field excursions. It will be by in-person attendance and livestreaming for on-line participants.

Format of the Conference

The conference will be a hybrid event consisting of the following:

1. Online preparatory phase (webinars)
2. Main conference (3 days, hybrid – physical and live streaming for plenary sessions), consisting of:

• Plenary sessions with inspiring keynote presentations and panel discussions involving key stakeholders.
• Break-out sessions with interactive formats (short presentations, panel discussions, fish-bowl discussions, World Cafés, side events).
• Exhibitions (trade exhibitions, general exhibitions

3. Excursions to show how agroecology works along the value chain (research, farming, inputs, processing, retail…)
