As the Maintenance Supervisor, you are responsible for maintaince of equipment and tools in the Avacodo Oil Factory. With the manager's support, you will keep factory equipment, facilities, and assets in good working condition to minimize downtime and costs. You will ensure all equipment and tools are properly stored and calibrated to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
Maintenance management for the Avocado Oil factory and machinery
Oversee responsive and proactive maintenance tasks in the factory and ensure timely completion to exceptional standards with some manager support.
Ensure all machines and equipment are operating at the prescribed plant availability.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during the execution of maintenance work.
Prepare monthly performance reports to identify ways to reduce machine downtime and costs.
Act as the key point person for communication with stakeholders on maintenance schedules, repairs, access requests, and any delays.
Maintenance of tools and machines
Manage the inventory of maintenance equipment and materials, including tracking usage and procurement orders.
Initiate, plan, and execute calibration of weighing scales, pressure gauges, moisture meters, and any other machine that requires bi-annual and annual calibration & verification.
Support in the safe and proper storage of tools and machines to ensure their quality does not deteriorate.
Ensure proper stocking of spare parts, de-commissioned parts or machines, as well as reusable tools and parts.
Project Supervision
Oversee the installation and maintenance of all machines and equipment, and electrical, plumbing, and firefighting works in the factory.
Supervise casuals and contractors to achieve exceptional workmanship.
Prepare specifications and Bill of Quantities for small projects to support vendor sourcing.
Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure standards are met and issues are resolved.
Utility Management
Support the production coordinator to ensure all facilities have a regular water and power supply.
Liaise with utility companies on outages and push for quick resolutions
Track utility costs and find ways to reduce spending
Maintain records of utility usage for reporting purposes
Track project costs to ensure they are kept within/below budget.

Qualifications
For this role specifically, you will have:
Minimum 2+ years in a maintenance role in an Avocado Oil factory
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Technical skills:
Google Suite applications, i.e., Google Sheets and Google Docs, for project management
Ability to monitor, operate and repair all equipment and machines related to avocado oil production, such as crushers, malaxers, separators etc.
Ability to monitor and operate facility systems and equipment, such as fire alarm systems, security systems, and other monitoring systems, to identify anomalies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper functioning.
Proficiency in using various tools, equipment, and instruments commonly used in facility maintenance, such as hand tools, power tools, meters, gauges, and other specialized equipment, in performing maintenance tasks effectively and safely.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and practices, including developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, conducting routine inspections, and performing preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan of facility assets and minimize unexpected breakdowns.
Understanding of maintenance management principles, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, condition-based maintenance, and predictive maintenance, to develop and implement effective maintenance programs and strategies for the facility.
