29th Session of the African Commission on Agricultural Statistics (AFCAS)
The African Commission on Agricultural Statistics is a statutory body of FAO that convenes every two years. AFCAS brings together senior statistics officials from FAO member countries across the African continent who are responsible for developing agricultural statistics in their respective countries.
Commission Purpose
Participants review and exchange ideas on the state of food and agricultural statistics in Africa. They advise member countries on developing their agricultural statistical systems within FAO's Programme of Work and Budget for Africa.
29th Session Focus
